Happy Mother's Day

This is the first ever tea cosy and flowers that I crocheted

I gave it to my friend who was born in Liverpool but grew up in Canada.
Daffodils are her favourite flowers, and she loves her cuppa.

She was very touched to receive my gift, and says she clothed a very sentimental
teapot her mother gave her many years ago with it.
It is now proudly displayed in her kitchen window.

It made me happy to make it, and to look at it.
Now it makes me happy to think about the pleasure it gives my friend,  who shed
a few tears for her mother who is still alive, but living in her own Alzheimer's world.

When I bought this flower, I thought it was a daisy.
At closer inspection it revealed itself to be a chrysanthemum!
It is going to grace my next tea cosy, after I finish the pansies.

Watch this space.

Bless all the mothers, and to my own Mum who taught me everything I know:
Keep on Knitting!
